The Mississippi Community College Board Office of Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment, Leadership Academy under the direction of Dr. LaToya Rembert-Sterling, Assistant Director of Training and Professional Development for CTE, held a pinning ceremony during the President’s meeting Tuesday, April 25, 2023.

Offering a variety of courses, webinars, and roundtables, the MSVCC Academy provides quality professional development, which enables the community colleges to support a high volume of instructors. Webinars are offered in both live and on-demand formats to meet the needs of our audience.
The Coalition on Adult Basic Education (COABE), representing 65,000 adult educators, exists to provide leadership, communication, professional development, and advocacy for adult education and literacy practitioners to advance quality services for all adult learners.
In 2017, the Mississippi Institutions of Higher Learning and the Mississippi Community College Board launched the Complete 2 Compete (C2C) program focused on increasing the degree attainment rate in Mississippi.
