About

Since its beginnings in 1937, Meridian Community College continues to meet the diverse needs of its community. In addition to a strong university transfer program, MCC offers adult literacy and high school study programs leading to GED/HSE diploma, one and two-year career programs in a variety of business, health and technology fields and a comprehensive workforce development center. Its beautifully landscaped 94-acre campus, located near downtown Meridian at 910 Highway 19 North, hosts 49 buildings including state-of-the art athletic facilities, a one-of-a-kind fine arts building and a natatorium.

MCC serves some 3,400 college credit students and another 4,000 in continuing education, community service and enrichment programs. Day, night and weekend classes as well as distance learning courses are scheduled year-round. The MCC Foundation provides the opportunity for all current graduates of accredited high schools and home schools in Meridian and Lauderdale County to take advantage of its Tuition Guarantee Program for four semesters of study at MCC.
