Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College has served South Mississippi for 108 years, providing educational and training opportunities to generations of individuals. Regularly recognized as a Great College to Work For and Military Friendly School, Gulf Coast received special distinctions in both this year. The college was also recognized as a Most Affordable Online College by SR Education Group and Military Friendly Spouse School. Because of its outstanding reputation at a national level, the college was chosen for key grant programs, including Achieving the Dream and RESTORE Act Work-Ready programs.
Gulf Coast provides programs and services designed for individuals who plan to seek a four-year degree, train for immediate employment, or transition to a new career. Dedicated, caring faculty members provide world-class instruction in traditional and hybrid class formats as well as on weekends, evenings and online.
Through community and economic development programs and services, the college assists individuals who are preparing to enter the workforce or seeking to upgrade skills. Strong business and industry partnerships provide opportunities for employment of graduates, internships and program enhancements. MGCCC has a 97 percent job placement rate for allied health graduates and a 92 percent placement rate in career and technical programs.
