About
Since 1927, Northwest has brought excellence and tradition to northwest Mississippi by providing quality, affordable higher education. Our students graduate with the academic foundation toward a four-year degree or the technical skills needed for a rewarding career path. Regardless of their ambition, students from Northwest's 11-county district have found an effective and affordable education just a short distance from home.
Classes are offered on the main campus in Senatobia, DeSoto Center in Southaven/Olive Branch, Lafayette-Yalobusha Technical Center in Oxford, Benton County Career-Tech Center in Ashland, and through our eLearning program, recently named one of the top online schools in the nation. Northwest offers the total college experience in campus living, especially for students attending the main campus. Nine residence halls provide housing for more than 1,000 students, and most of the dorms offer apartment-style living. Students can also participate in various activities including clubs, Fine Arts groups and intramural sports, and our intercollegiate athletics program is nationally known for its tradition of excellence.
