Fire Protection Technology

The Fire Protection Technology pathway is an instructional program that prepares individuals to provide firefighting and basic emergency care. Firefighters also function as a part of the EMS response, providing skills and knowledge in a variety of emergencies. Included is instruction in fire science, fire prevention, fire fighting principles, fire apparatus and hydraulics, disaster management, building construction, and fire fighter safety.

The Realtime Reporting Technology pathway is an instructional program that prepares individuals to create word-for-word transcriptions at trials, depositions, and other legal proceedings. Included is instruction in stenotype machine shorthand, voice writing, realtime reporting procedures, stenotype machine shorthand, and voice writing,

Criminal Justice

The Criminal Justice Technology pathway is an instructional program that prepares individuals to become professionals in law enforcement, corrections, and other criminal justice fields. Included is instruction in police administration and organization, corrections, criminology, traffic law, police operations, criminal law, and criminal investigation.

Crime Scene Technician

The Crime Scene Technician pathway is an instructional program that prepares individuals to collect, identify, classify, and analyze physical evidence related to criminal investigations. Included is instruction in evidence technology, evidence photography, physical evidence, biological evidence, and criminal investigation.

Paralegal Technology

The Paralegal Technology pathway is an instructional program that prepares individuals for employment as a paralegal in courts, corporations, law firms, and government agencies. Included is instruction in law, legal research, family law, wills and estates, civil litigation, torts, and property.
