The Division of Academic & Student Affairs acts as a connector of opportunity for students, faculty, and staff throughout the state of Mississippi. Its role is to assist the colleges in providing comprehensive programs and services that support and enhance the educational and personal growth and development of all students and the community as a whole. Responsibilities of this division are to maintain the community college Academic Uniform Course Numbering System, serve as a liaison with the Mississippi Department of Education (MDE), the Institutions of Higher Learning (IHL), the MACJC Academic Officers Association, the MACJC Student Affairs Association, and other community partners.
The Division of Academic & Student Affairs is composed of the following departments: Academic Affairs, Adult Education and High School Equivalency, the Commission for Proprietary Schools & College Registration. It also serves as the community college lead office for the Complete 2 Compete statewide initiative.
