Diesel Mechanics Technician

The Diesel mechanics technology pathway is designed to prepare individuals for competencies required to maintain and repair a variety of industrial diesel equipment, including agricultural tractors, commercial trucks, and construction equipment. The curriculum provides instruction in inspection, repair, and maintenance of engines, power trains, hydraulic systems, and other components.

Vehicle and Vehicle Parts and Accessories Marketing Operations

The Parts Marketing and Management pathway is designed to prepare individuals to perform operations connected with the distribution and sale of replacement parts and other end-use supplies in the automotive, marine, and aviation industries. Includes instruction in wholesaling and retailing, principles of vehicular technologies, storage and distribution, customer sales and service skills, and principles of consumer research and sales forecasting.

Logistics Technology

The Logistics Technology pathway is designed to prepare individuals to manage and coordinate the procurement, distribution, maintenance, and replacement of material and personnel. The curriculum provides instruction in logistical functions in an enterprise that range from acquisitions to receiving and handling, through internal allocation of resources to the handling and delivery of a product or service.

Commercial Truck Driving

The Commercial Truck Driving pathway is designed to prepare an individual to drive trucks and other commercial vehicles. The curriculum provides instruction in operating diesel powered vehicles, loading and unloading cargo, reporting delays or accidents, verifying loads against shipping records, and maintaining records.

Automotive Machinist

Automotive Machinist Technology pathway is designed to prepare an individual use of precision measuring instruments, hand tools, machines, and equipment. The curriculum provides instruction in the types and uses of hand, mechanical, power, and hydraulic tools, along with types of fluids, cutting oils, and coolants. Disassembly and inspection of automotive engines, resurfacing brake drums and rotors, basic engine balancing, and cylinder head rebuilding are included.

Automotive Technology/Automotive Light Duty Diesel Technology Option

Automotive Light Diesel Technology pathway is designed to prepare individuals to engage in the servicing and maintenance of all types of automobiles. The curriculum provides instruction in the diagnosis of malfunctions of all eight areas of ASE/NATEF certification (Engine Repair, Electrical and Electronic Systems, Engine Performance, Brakes, Steering and Suspension Systems, Manual Drive Trains and Axles, Automatic Transmissions and Transaxles, Heating and Air Conditioning).

Collision Repair

The Collision Repair Technology pathway is designed to prepare an individual for a career as a body, frame, and refinish technician. The curriculum provides instruction in theory and practical repair and refinish work beginning with basic applications and progressing on to heavy collision repairs.
