The Banking and Financial Support Services pathway provides individuals the ability to perform a wide variety of customer services in banks, insurance agencies, savings and loan companies, and related enterprises. Includes instruction in communications and public relations skills, business equipment operation, and technical skills applicable to the methods and operations of specific financial or insurance services. The curriculum content allows individuals to gain competencies and social skills necessary for employment and advancement in the finance industry.
The Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurship Studies pathway prepares individuals in the fundamentals of starting and managing their own businesses and to launch new ventures. The curriculum provides instruction in basic concepts and practices in entrepreneurship and small business management, marketing concepts for entrepreneurships, and developing a business plan/model.
The Computer Technology pathway prepares individuals to support business information operations by using computer equipment to enter, process, and retrieve data for a wide variety of administrative purposes. Includes instruction in using basic business software and hardware, business computer networking, principles of desktop publishing, preparing mass mailings, compiling and editing spreadsheets, list maintenance, preparing tables and graphs, receipt control, and preparing business performance reports.
The Administrative Office Technology pathway prepares individuals with training for entry-level administrative office procedures, integrated, computer applications, business financial systems, communication, accounting clerks, records clerks, transcriptionists, word processing specialists, and other positions such as web design, desktop publishing, and database management.
The Accounting Technology pathway provides individuals with entry-level accounting positions in accounts payable, accounts receivables, payroll, and inventory as well as enhance the skills of individuals currently employed in accounting. The curriculum provides instruction to prepare individuals exiting the pathway for accounting positions in business and industry, governmental agencies, and public accounting firms.
The Business Management Technology pathway provides individuals with a relevant professional management educational and effective approaches to technology, entrepreneurship, human resources, and management information. The curriculum provides instruction to develop individual's skills in innovative aspects of technology and business management with an emphasis on project-based learning and field externships.
The Healthcare Data Technology pathway prepares individuals to work in office positions in hospitals, doctors' offices, health clinics, insurance companies, and other health-related organizations. The curriculum provides instruction in medical terminology, accounting, transcription, coding, and computer software applications.
The Medical Admin. Assistant/Secretarial pathway prepares individuals to work in office positions in hospitals, doctors' offices, health clinics, insurance companies, and other health-related organizations. The curriculum provides instruction to prepare medical terminology, accounting, transcription, coding, and computer software applications.
The Medical Insurance Coding Specialist/Coder pathway prepares and individual for entry-level employment in a physician office, hospitals, outpatient facilities, mental health clinics, nursing home facilities, and insurance companies. The curriculum content allows individuals to gain knowledge in courses in the vocational-technical core, designated areas of concentration, and the academic core.
