A Community of Educators
The Digital Educators Network (DEN) is the statewide professional development hub of the Mississippi Virtual Community College (MSVCC), bringing faculty and staff together to connect, collaborate, and grow. Through the DEN, educators sharpen digital teaching skills that translate into stronger, more dynamic learning opportunities for students.
The DEN is more than professional learning. It’s a collaborative community where Mississippi faculty and staff share best practices, explore new technologies, and build innovative approaches to teaching and learning online.
“I’ve been impressed with how much [Digital Teaching and Learning Part One] has had to offer. It provides clear guidance on course design, thoughtful approaches to student engagement, and practical techniques I can use in my courses. It’s been a thoroughly enjoyable and beneficial learning experience.”

Ways to Engage with the DEN
As a member of the DEN community, you can learn from others, contribute your knowledge, and help shape future learning opportunities.
- Learn
Participating in DEN is simple. Registration and access are managed through the DEN Catalog and Canvas, keeping all your resources in one place:
- Register through the DEN Catalog: Browse sessions and sign up for live webinars or on-demand courses.
- Access in Canvas: Once registered, you’ll be enrolled in Canvas to join live sessions (when available) or complete prerecorded content on your own schedule.
- Explore Resources Anytime: Recordings, slides, handouts, and other materials remain available within the Canvas course for future reference.
- Earn
Faculty who complete DEN sessions can earn a digital badge through Parchment Digital Badges. These credentials recognize your commitment to online teaching excellence and can be shared with your college, added to your portfolio, or included on a résumé.
